Hospitalist Clinician-Investigator

Job details:

The UCSF Division of Hospital Medicine (DHM) is seeking a hospitalist clinician-investigator to join its faculty. DHM has an outstanding track record of developing successful hospitalist clinician-investigators. Our faculty has interests in effective communication strategies, reducing harm from anticoagulant use, and implementing and evaluating quality improvement interventions, among others. Research faculty has access to a number of unique resources, such as collaborations through the UCSF Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute, as well as an institutional K award program. Moreover, DHM faculty maintains a number of local and national databases useful to early career researchers. Candidates must be board eligible/certified in Internal Medicine with excellent clinical and communication skills, and should have completed research fellowship training in general internal medicine or health services research. A track record of publications or presentation of abstracts at national meetings is strongly preferred.
