Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor In Residence

The Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking a lab-based investigator at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, level to conduct brain tumor-related research in the UCSF Brain Tumor Research Center, and to be a part of the Cancer Neuroscience Program of the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. The candidate should have a proven ability to do high-quality research that is related to, or potentially relevant to, the underlying biology, diagnosis, or treatment of brain tumors. This includes prior publications focused on the neural regulation of cancer. Successful candidates will be expected to build an NIH-funded independent research program as well as to interact with the vibrant scientific and brain tumor communities at UCSF.

Candidate’s must possess a PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree. Applicants’ materials must list current and/or pending qualifications upon submission.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5: https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/2022-23/oct-2022-salary-scales/t5-summary.pdf. The minimum base salary range for this position is $106,900 - $284,100. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (https://ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf) which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
