Position description

PHYSICIAN IN INTERSTITIAL LUNG DISEASE AND PULMONARY MEDICINE
UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN FRANCISCO

The Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy and Sleep Medicine is seeking a board certified/board eligible pulmonologist for a full-time faculty position as an Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) specialist.

The ILD pulmonologist will devote their effort to the care of patients with ILD, education of trainees, and academic work in research, quality improvement, medical education, program development or another academic area. The individual will report to the Chief of the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.

Minimum Requirements:
• Board certified/board eligible in Pulmonary Medicine
• Experience in taking care of patients with ILD

Preferred/Desirable Qualifications (optional)
• Independent research funding

The appointment will be made at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Medicine in the Health Sciences Clinical, Clinical X, Adjunct, or In Residence series. Our goal is to provide new faculty members with clinical experiences that match their interests while also furthering the field of interstitial lung disease with innovative research.
