Position description

Li Lab – Junior/Assistant/Associate/Full Specialist

The primary research area will focus on advanced analysis of MR spectroscopy, diffusion, and resting-state fMRI acquired from patients with autism and healthy controls. The candidate will be expected to utilize and extend state-of-the-art imaging and spectroscopic processing, and statistical and data analytic tools to analyze multimodal imaging and spectroscopic data. Specifically, the main tasks will involve data collection, management, and analysis, including image segmentation, spectral analysis, multi-parametric cohort analysis, and the translational application of the developed tools to study patients.

Required Qualifications:

  • Specialists appointed at the Junior rank must possess a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent degree) in biomedical imaging, applied mathematics, engineering or related discipline or at least four years of research experience.
  • Specialists appointed at the Assistant or Associate ranks must possess a master’s degree (or equivalent degree) in biomedical imaging, applied mathematics, engineering or related discipline or at least five years to ten years of research experience.
  • Specialists appointed at the Full rank must possess a PhD degree (or equivalent degree) in biomedical imaging, applied mathematics, engineering or related discipline or ten or more years of research experience.
  • Have at least four years of research experience using MR imaging.
  • Applicants must meet all the requirements by the time of hire.
  • Candidate’s CV and/or cover letter must state qualifications (or if pending) upon submission.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong statistical, computational, and communication skills
  • Experience in image processing (e.g., matlab, R, network analysis software package) or brain metabolic imaging data
  • Highly motivated and reliable
  • Equally productive when working independently or cooperatively
  • Post-graduate training in field
