Davis Lab – Assistant/Associate/Full Specialist

The Davis Lab in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics is seeking an Assistant/Associate/Full Specialist. Responsibilities will be the pursuit of research into the homeostatic mechanisms governing ion channel and neuronal function including, but not limited to, model organism genetics and techniques of patch clamp electrophysiology and anatomy.
- Specialists appointed at the Assistant rank must possess a master’s degree (or equivalent degree) or five years of experience in Neuroscience.
- Specialists appointed at the Associate rank must possess a master’s degree (or equivalent degree) or five to ten years of experience in Neuroscience.
- Specialists appointed at the full rank must possess a terminal degree (or equivalent degree) or ten or more years of experience in Neuroscience.
- Detailed knowledge of model organism (Drosophila) genetics and patch clamp electrophysiology in both the invertebrate and vertebrate central nervous systems.
Screening of applicants will begin immediately and will continue as needed throughout the recruitment period. Salary and rank will be commensurate with the experience and training.
