Position description

CLINICIAN-EDUCATOR IN SLEEP AND PULMONARY MEDICINE
UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN FRANCISCO

The Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy and Sleep Medicine is seeking a board certified/board eligible Pulmonologist for a full-time faculty position as a Sleep Medicine Specialist. The candidate must have completed training in both Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine, and optimally in Critical Care as well, and is expected to have met the requirements for appointment at the rank of Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at UCSF. The candidate is expected to contribute to Sleep Medicine training and clinical care, and participate in other activities of the Division. In addition, the successful candidate will be actively involved in training Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellows and also Sleep Medicine fellows, as well as teaching rotating residents and medical students. A track record of academic productivity is preferred, as the candidate will be expected to actively participate in research.

Requirements:
• Board certified/board eligible in both Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Medicine.

Preferred/Desirable Qualifications (optional)
• Board certified/board eligible in Critical Care Medicine.
