Division of Neonatology, Department of Pediatrics
In Residence Faculty Series

The Broad Center and the Division of Neonatology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco are recruiting a physician-scientist to establish a laboratory research program broadly focused in the area of neural vascular development. Appointment will be made at the Assistant rank of the In Residence faculty series. Academic rank is commensurate with experience.

The successful applicant will have a track record of obtaining extramural funding as a Principal Investigator at the K08 or equivalent level. Candidates must possess a medical degree and license to practice medicine, Board certification in Pediatrics, and Board subspecialty certification or eligibility in Neonatology. A proven ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and departments is an important preferred qualification for this position. The successful applicant will be eligible to apply for membership in the Developmental and Stem Cell Biology and Biomedical Sciences graduate programs.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5: https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/2022-23/oct-2022-salary-scales/t5-summary.pdf. The minimum base salary range for this position is $115,100-$150,900. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (https://ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf) which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
