Physician-Scientist Recruitment
Endo/Metab

The Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism in the Department of Medicine at The University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and UCSF Medical Center is seeking to recruit up to three (3) outstanding Physician-Scientists at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in the academic series most aligned with their qualifications and specific research interests. Successful candidates will be expected to develop a robust, independently funded laboratory or clinical research program. We encourage applications from individuals conducting exciting research in any area of endocrinology, ranging from the basic sciences to broadly defined areas of clinical research, including genetics, cohort-based studies, trials, bioinformatics, clinical informatics, and epidemiology as examples. Successful faculty members will also participate in the clinical, educational and service missions of the Division. Requirements:
• MD degree or MD/PhD degrees.
• Board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine and/or Endocrinology and Metabolism.

Preferred qualifications:
• Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate the establishment of an interesting research niche, coupled with a funding and publication track record commensurate with their academic career stage. A complementary clinical area of expertise would be beneficial as well.
