The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Dermatopathology division, jointly housed in the Departments of Dermatology and Pathology at UCSF School of Medicine, is seeking a senior faculty member. We are seeking a full-time faculty member (In Residence, Clinical X or HS Clinical series depending on the candidate) at the Associate or Full Professor rank with emphasis on diagnostic dermatopathology including proficiency in interpretation of primary skin biopsies and consultation (second opinion) cases, teaching and scholarship. Outstanding opportunities are available for collaborative research with members of the Department of Pathology or the Department of Dermatology. The successful candidate will have a primary appointment in either the Department of Pathology or the Department of Dermatology based on their specialty training. MD or equivalent with Board certification in Pathology or Dermatology and with certification in Dermatopathology is required.
UCSF and its Medical Center are widely recognized as leading academic and healthcare institutions. UCSF comprises the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing and Pharmacy, and a number of hospitals and outpatient clinics. Close academic and clinical links exist with the UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Departments of Dermatology and Pathology, with other campus Schools and many clinical specialties.
