Junior Specialist Position – Kroetz Lab

A Junior Specialist position is available in the Kroetz laboratory to investigate the role of nuclear S1P in the effects of microtubule targeting agents on sensory neuron transcriptional networks. The role will involve differentiation of sensory neurons from induced pluripotent stem cells and scRNA- and scATAC-sequencing of sensory neurons treated with microtubule targeting agents. The percent experimental and computational work will vary over the course of the project but will include both roles.

Appointees in the Specialist series will be expected to engage in specialized research, professional activities and do not have teaching responsibilities. Specialists are expected to use their professional expertise to make scientific and scholarly contributions, and may participate in University and Public Service. Screening of applicants will begin immediately and will continue as needed throughout the recruitment period. Salary and rank will be commensurate with the applicants experience and training.

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and some experience with laboratory based research, by time of appointment.
