Position description

The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking an Abdominal Imaging and Ultrasound Radiologist for a faculty position at UCSF/Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG). The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical X, in-Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.

The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to building a strong academic career and to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research. The selected candidate must have clinical expertise in all areas of abdominal imaging, including diagnostic CT, MRI, ultrasound, as well as image-guided biopsies. The selected candidate is also expected to supervise trainees and to provide outstanding teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows.

The position requires a MD degree (or equivalent), ability (or eligible) to practice medicine in California, fellowship training in Abdominal Imaging (completed by appointment start date), and expertise in Abdominal Imaging. Applicants are expected to be board certified (or eligible) in Radiology. These requirements are to be met by the time of the faculty appointment start date. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5: https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/2022-23/oct-2022-salary-scales/t5-summary.pdf. The minimum base salary range for this position is $135,700-$360,600. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (https://ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf) which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
