Position description

The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is seeking a board certified or board eligible Neuroradiologist for a faculty position at UCSF/Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG). The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical X, in-Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.

The selected candidate should demonstrate a commitment to building a strong academic career and excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research. The candidate will supervise trainees and provide outstanding teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows at a top radiology training program in the country. The Neuroradiology section provides consultation and diagnostic services for ZSFG, San Francisco’s only Level I trauma center and a major safety net hospital for the San Francisco Bay Area. The practice covers a broad spectrum of primary and tertiary care cases in adult patients. Special expertise in emergency neuroradiology is preferred. The group performs limited spine interventional cases and image guided biopsies that are partly supported by non-physician medical practitioners. Candidates interested in remote off-hour work may also choose to participate in the work of the growing Emergency Radiology section at ZSFG.

The position requires a MD degree (or equivalent), ability (or eligible) to practice medicine in California, fellowship training in Neuroradiology (completed by appointment start date). Applicants are expected to be board certified (eligible) in Radiology. These requirements are to be met by the time of the faculty appointment start date. Applicants must list all of these qualifications (or if pending) on their CV upon submission.
