Medical Director for Kidney Transplant

Division of Nephrology
University of California, San Francisco

The Division of Nephrology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), seeks a full-time faculty at the rank of Associate or Full Professor to serve as the medical director of its thriving kidney transplant program.

Applicants must have an MD degree (or equivalent), be board certified in Nephrology, and meet OPTN/UNOS requirements to serve as primary physician for a kidney transplant program. The program at UCSF Health has a tradition of quality and innovation and is one of the largest kidney transplant programs in the country, performing over 400 transplants each year. We seek a leader with strong administrative, leadership, and clinical skills to oversee the program and its 8 transplant nephrology faculty and 60 total personnel. The successful leader will also have a demonstrated ability to support a positive work culture, foster the academic careers of kidney transplant nephrologists, promote kidney transplant research, and build strong collaborations with transplant surgery and other allied fields.
