Department of Radiation Oncology
Hematologic and Central Nervous System Malignancies
The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of California, San Francisco, is seeking an outstanding physician trained in Radiation Oncology with expertise in treating Hematologic Malignancies (including Lymphoma and Multiple Myeloma) and Central Nervous System Malignancies to join its faculty. The ideal candidate will have post-training experience in multidisciplinary care of patients with Hematologic and/or Central Nervous System Tumors, along with a portfolio in clinical research, with an emphasis on clinical trial design and implementation. The candidate will focus on clinical patient care activities and is expected to participate in clinical trials, perform active research and publish. Candidates should be board certified/board eligible in Radiation Oncology with significant experience in a variety of radiotherapy techniques, including Stereotactic Radiosurgery, CNS Brachytherapy, Total Body/Lymphoid Irradiation and Intra-Operative Radiotherapy. Candidates must have MD or MD/PhD and also have completion of ACGME Residency Training in Radiation Oncology by time of hire and should have two years or more of clinical expertise in treating Hematologic and/or Central Nervous System Tumors.
The UCSF Department of Radiation Oncology has strong clinical services for CNS, GU, Head and Neck, Breast cancers, Pediatrics, as well as a dedicated service line for Palliative Radiotherapy. The position will be clinically focused, at the Parnassus Hospital at UCSF, which is the primary site for Neurosurgery and Hematologic Malignancy inpatient and outpatient services. The candidate will be active in multidisciplinary oncology programs throughout the UCSF Helen Diller Comprehensive Cancer Center.
The candidate will be expected to teach in educational courses provided by the Department of Radiation Oncology for medical students, residents and fellows, as well as contribute to continuing medical education efforts including the departmental annual scientific conference.
