Position description

The University of California, San Francisco Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is seeking an Abdominal Imaging Radiologist to serve as the Chief of Abdominal Imaging. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Associate or Full Professor in the Clinical X, in-Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.

The Chief position offers an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual to build on the success of distinguished section and enhance collaborations between internal and external partners. The selected candidate will hold responsibility and accountability for administrative and programmatic oversight of the clinical, research educational and service activities in Abdominal Imaging in alignment with the department’s strategy, vision, mission and goals. Obligations include departmental leadership and administration, delivery of high-quality care for patients, stewardship of educational and research programs in Abdominal Imaging, and faculty mentoring. The successful candidate should have a strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

The position requires an MD degree (or equivalent), ability (or eligible) to practice medicine in California, and completion of fellowship training in Abdominal Imaging and expertise in Abdominal Imaging. Applicants are expected to be board certified (or eligible) in Radiology. These requirements are to be met by the time of the faculty appointment start date.
