Instructor, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor Level in Department of Ophthalmology

The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking applicants for a full-time Ophthalmologist Faculty position with Glaucoma fellowship training at an Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor Level.

The individual will join the Glaucoma Ophthalmology Division and be responsible primarily for patient care at the UCSF Berkeley Outpatient Center and the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The ophthalmologist will serve as a clinician educator for residents and fellows with an emphasis on glaucoma, cataract and anterior segment surgical instruction.

Qualified candidates must meet all of the following criteria:
• Hold an MD or equivalent degree.
• Completion of an Ophthalmology Residency.
• Completion (or in the process of completing) of a Glaucoma Fellowship.
• Hold a California medical license or be eligible for a full, unrestricted licensure.
• Must be board certified (American Board of Ophthalmology) or be board eligible.

Applicant’s materials must list (pending) qualifications upon submission. Applicant must have all requirements met by the start of an appointment.

Candidates must have a record of excellence in clinical care and teaching. Knowledge and proficiency in glaucoma, cataract and anterior segment surgical instruction are essential.
