Position description

Assistant/Associate Professor – Bakar Aging Research Institute

The Department of Anatomy at the University of California San Francisco seeks outstanding candidates, for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position, with research and teaching responsibilities, at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Candidates must have a PhD, MD or equivalent degree at time of appointment. Outstanding scientists in the field of aging, broadly defined, will be considered. The successful candidate is expected to develop their research program as part of the Bakar Aging Research Institute (BARI). We are particularly interested in applicants with a strong record of published research in immunology, metabolism, epigenetics, and/or computational biology. The successful candidate will become a member of the Biomedical Sciences, Developmental and Stem Cell Biology, or Tetrad graduate research programs and will participate in professional and graduate student teaching. Salary and appointment rank will be commensurate with the applicant’s experience and training.
