Position description

The Betancur lab at UCSF is looking for a highly motivated lab junior/asst specialist. The main goal of the lab is to investigate the inflammatory response in the contexts of cancer, radiotherapy, immunotherapy and aging.

The person hired for this position will be assisting the lab with pre-clinical research on mouse models and cancer cell lines, including single-cell RNA sequencing, flow cytometry, fluorescent imaging and high throughput data analyses. Other lab managing tasks will be ordering and stocking reagents, keeping lab and biosafety protocols up to date. This is an excellent opportunity to work with mouse and human samples and/or strengthen your lab skills if you are to continue in the biomedical field.

Requirements: Jr Specialist, a Bachelor’s degree in biology or any related field. Basic knowledge on computer programing languages (Python prefer) and single cell sequencing experiments. appointees at the Assistant rank must possess a master’s degree or at least 5 years of research experience.
