Assistant Professor In-Residence
UCSF Department of Pathology

The Department of Pathology of the University of California at San Francisco is seeking to appoint a new faculty member at the Assistant Professor level to direct a research program within the UCSF CoLabs, a new research initiative based at the Parnassus Heights campus. The successful candidate will direct a laboratory that studies immune responses in the context of a broad range of diseases, including cancer and autoimmune diseases. The candidate will develop innovative methods for detailed analysis of immune cell gene expression and function in human and animal model samples. The candidate will collaborate extensively with UCSF clinical and basic scientists and with leaders of other CoLabs units, including Flow Cytometry, Biological Imaging Development, Genomics, and Data Science. Additional duties will include departmental and university teaching for graduate students commensurate with the individual’s qualifications and interests. The candidate will be expected to participate as a member of the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program.

Requirements: Candidates are required to hold a PhD degree and to have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their field.
