The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking a full-time academic hand surgeon. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Plastic Surgery. Fellowship training in hand surgery is a prerequisite for this position.
Primary clinical responsibilities will be at both Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and at Zuckerberg San Francisco General. Clinical activity will include pediatric and adult hand surgery, for which our division has a primary role at both institutions.
Research productivity is expected and protected time for research will be provided. The candidate should have a proven track record in clinical discovery with publications in this clinical area.
Candidates must have recognized skills in the education of surgery residents and medical students and will be expected to be active participants in the Department’s residency training and educational programs.
