We are an evolutionary and computational biology laboratory (http://www.capralab.org/) that uses the tools of computer science and statistics to address problems in genetics, evolution, and biomedicine. The individual hired for the available position will become a key member in our group, who will participate in specific ongoing research projects and support lab management. This individual will also have responsibilities in managing lab resources, curating datasets, applying established computational work flows to new datasets, and assisting post-doctoral fellows and graduate students in the lab in their work. Up to 20% of time will be dedicated to general lab support. The individual will also be given time to develop and drive their own research project. The ideal candidate will have completed relevant coursework and/or have hands-on research experience in computational biology, genetics, and/or related fields.
