Specialist- Evans Lab

The Evans lab at the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is looking for a Junior, Assistant, Associate or Full Specialist. The ideal candidate has experience in protein expression and purification, bioconjugation chemistry, and radiochemistry with metals (e.g. Cu-64, Zr-89, Lu-177, Ac-225). The candidate will be responsible for independently planning and executing experiments, including data analysis. Lastly, the candidate will work with the PI and other lab members to summarize data for public disclosures (i.e. manuscripts, patents, meeting abstracts).

Required Qualifications:
-Specialists appointed at the Junior rank must possess a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, biology (or equivalent degree) or at least four years of research experience.
-Specialists appointed at the Assistant or Associate ranks must possess a master’s degree (or equivalent degree) or at least five years to ten years of research experience.
-Specialists appointed at the Full rank must possess a terminal degree (or equivalent degree) or ten or more years of research experience.
-Applicants must meet all of the requirements by the time of hire.

  • Candidate’s CV and/or cover letter must list qualifications (or if pending) upon submission.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD or equivalent in one of the following areas: chemistry, chemical biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, biology. -The candidate must also have 2-4 years of postdoctoral experience in one of the abovementioned areas. -Independent Specialized research
