Junior Specialist- Fraser Lab
The Fraser Lab in the UCSF Department of Bioengineering and Therapeutic Sciences have a Junior Specialist position available immediately. Salary will be commensurate with level of experience. The department is focused on developing new areas of therapeutic engineering, pharmacogenomics, computational biology, systems pharmacology, drug development and regulatory sciences. We seek candidates who will assist in performing bioengineering, therapeutic and bioinformatics studies and map and study the evolution of genetic, protein and biologic interactions based on various sequencing, molecular and other factors. The individual will also be responsible for other lab management-related duties, including but not limited to, lab protocol submission, lab safety, facility inspection, lab database construction and maintenance, lab supply management and other duties as assigned.
The candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree by their start date to be appointed at the Junior rank. Candidate's CV must list required degree (or if pending) upon submission. The candidate must have at least one year experience working in a lab and research environment and proven ability to work well as part of a team and have enthusiasm for the practice of science.
