SFVAHCS – Endocrinology - Academic Faculty

The UCSF Department of Medicine is seeking a physician-scientist for a faculty position in the Endocrinology and Metabolism Section at the San Francisco VA Health Care System.

The SFVAHCS Endocrinology Division enjoys a long tradition of distinction in clinical care, research, and education. We seek a physician-scientist at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level who will be appointed in the appropriate academic series based on background and qualifications. The successful candidate will have an active and productive laboratory or clinical research program with extramural funding from the NIH, VA, or equivalent organizations. While the faculty member will participate fully in the clinical, educational, and service activities of the Division, the primary focus of this position will be on scholarly activity and development of a robust research portfolio.

Applicants must be US citizens and board-certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, with a valid US medical license. Excellent clinical and communication skills are expected.
