Job details:

The Division of Palliative Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is recruiting for a Clinician Researcher. The appointment will be made at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in either the Adjunct, In Residence, or Health Sciences Clinical series.

Candidates must possess an MD degree (or equivalent degree), be board certified in any primary specialty and board certified/eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (by hire date) by virtue of Palliative Medicine Fellowship training or other comparable experience, and be eligible for licensure in the State of California at the time of hire. Candidates should preferably have either a Masters, PhD or equivalent research training.

Candidates are expected to have or acquire career development award funding and to ultimately develop an independent research program. In addition to expanding their own research program, the faculty member will be expected to collaborate with colleagues within and outside the Division of Palliative Medicine within and outside UCSF. The faculty member will serve as an attending physician on the interdisciplinary palliative care service at UCSF Health. The total clinical effort and service location (e.g., inpatient or outpatient) are negotiable.
