Faculty Position, UCSF Department of Neurology, School of Medicine
Chief of Neurology, San Francisco VA Health Care System

The Department of Neurology and the San Francisco VA Health Care System (SFVAHCS) are recruiting an outstanding clinician-scientist to serve as Chief of the Neurology Service at the SFVAHCS. This is a leadership position that will report to the Chief of Staff, SFVAHCS, and play a substantial leadership role in the UCSF Department of Neurology. The Department of Neurology will propose the selected candidate for appointment to the Associate or full Professor ranks of the Health Sciences Clinical, In Residence, Clinical X, or Adjunct faculty series. This individual will collaborate with other leaders and peers to support research and education at the SFVAHCS, and will have access to substantial resources toward these aims.

Qualified applicants must possess a medical degree and Board Certification in Neurology. Preferred qualifications include proven ability to attract and lead a group of innovative and productive clinicians and researchers, evidence of an outstanding record of leadership and academic productivity. Experience working in an urban healthcare environment with underserved patient populations is strongly desirable.
