The UCSF Department of Neurological Surgery is recruiting a Division Chief for its Neuro Oncology Division. The position involves directing the extensive neuro oncology program which sees the vast majority of all adult patients in Northern and Central California, and from all 50 states and abroad, with primary and secondary brain neoplasms, spinal cord tumors, menigiomas and skull base tumors, and Neurofibromatosis. The successful candidate must have neuro oncology fellowship training and experience leading an academic neuro oncology program. An NIH funded research program is highly desirable but not mandatory. Close collaboration and affiliations with the UCSF Cancer Center including the Precision Cancer Medicine program, as well as, The Weill Institute of Neuroscience will also be involved. The UCSF Neuro Oncology Program is part of the Brain Tumor Center which also encompasses it’s basic and translational research laboratories along with the brain tumor SPORE grant, Program Project Grant, low grade glioma consortium (Loglio), Oligodendroglioma Imaging center (NICO), Glioblastoma Precision Medicine Program (GPMP), and Caregiver and Survivorship programs.
