Assistant Professor In-Residence
UCSF Department of Dermatology
The Department of Dermatology of the University of California at San Francisco is seeking to appoint a new faculty member at the Assistant Professor level to establish a research program focused on the immunology of neurocutaneous itch with the goal to eventually translating findings in the laboratory into therapeutic strategies for patients suffering from chronic inflammatory skin conditions. The successful candidate will also devote some of his/her time towards clinical care of patients with severe inflammatory skin disease, autoimmune, auto-inflammatory and other complex medical skin conditions. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for teaching residents, medical students, and housestaff. The appointee will be given laboratory space in the Health Sciences West building on the Parnassus Heights campus of UCSF, and will be a member of the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program.
Candidates are required to hold a MD or MD/PhD degree, and to have demonstrated achievement in their field. The deadline for applications to be considered in a timely manner is [June 30, 2020].
