Academic Faculty Search, UCSF Department of Medicine/Rheumatology and the San Francisco VA Medical Center
The UCSF Department of Medicine is seeking a physician/scientist faculty in the Rheumatology Section at the San Francisco VA Medical Center.
The SFVAHCS Rheumatology Division is undergoing expansion of its clinical and research programs. The Division enjoys a long tradition of distinction in clinical care, education, and scholastic pursuits. We seek a physician/scientist at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level who will meet the requirements for appointment in the UCSF In Residence, Clinical X, or Adjunct academic series. The successful applicant will have an active and productive basic, translational or clinical research program with a strong record of extramural funding from the NIH, VHA, or equivalent organizations. While clinical attending duties on the inpatient and outpatient rheumatology services are expected, the primary focus of this position will be on scholarly activity and development of a robust research portfolio.
Candidates must be US citizens and board-eligible/certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology with excellent clinical and communication skills. Candidates must have a valid U.S. medical license.
