Assistant Professor in Residence - Department of Neurological Surgery

The Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking two (2) lab-based investigators at the assistant level to conduct tumor-related research in the UCSF Brain Tumor Center, and to be part of Neuro-Oncology Program of the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. The candidate should have a PhD or MD/PhD in area of biologic science relevant to brain tumors, a minimum of 3 years of post-doctoral training, and a proven ability to do high-quality research that is related to, or potentially relevant to, the underlying biology, diagnosis, or treatment of brain tumors. Area of Particular interest are brain metastasis, stem cell biology, and immunology/immunotherapy, although other areas of investigation will also be considered. Successful candidates will be expected to build an NIH-funded independent research program as well as to interact with the vibrant scientific and brain tumor communities at UCSF.
