HS Clinical, Clinical X, or In Residence Faculty Series

The Division of Hematology Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals is recruiting a new faculty member who shows a strong interest in clinical care as well as research. Depending on the background, experience and funding of the applicant, an appropriate start-up package and space will be provided. It is expected that they would attend clinically on either the general hematology oncology or pediatric/adult neurology service (depending on subspecialty) and the immunotherapy service (as this develops for brain tumor patients), following primary patients with brain tumors in the outpatient service as appropriate.

The faculty member will attend on the pediatric inpatient service and outpatient services at Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco. The appointment will at Assistant, Associate or Full Professor ranks of HS Clinical, Clinical X, or In Residence faculty series.

Required qualifications include:
• Medical Degree
• CA License or eligible for a CA license
• Board certification in Pediatrics and subspecialty certification or eligibility in Pediatric Hematology Oncology
• An interest, commitment and experience in teaching and research is essential

Expected clinical duties will be based on the candidate’s external grant funding and series, as well as background (are they a hematologist-oncologist or a neurologist?)
