Harris Fishbon Distinguished Professor for Clinical Translational Research in Aging

The Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco seeks candidates to serve as the Harris Fishbon Distinguished Professor for Clinical Translational Research in Aging. We seek a physician who is a national leader in geriatrics and gerontology and is a candidate for appointment as Associate Professor or Professor in the In Residence series in the Division of Geriatrics, Department of Medicine, UCSF. Candidates should be ABIM certified in Geriatric Medicine and have demonstrated competence in the practice and teaching of clinical geriatrics.

The Fishbon Distinguished Professor will lead the development of a research program in the Division of Geriatrics at UCSF that will improve the care and health of very old persons through the translation of research findings to clinical benefits in people with diseases associated with very old age. The Professorship is supported by a $2.5 million endowment established by the Harris Fishbon Fund of the Mt. Zion Health Fund and the San Francisco Campus of Jewish Living (formerly Jewish Home of San Francisco).
