Position description

The University of California, San Francisco, Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, is seeking to hire a candidate with expertise in cardio-oncology to lead a rapidly growing Cardio-Oncology Program. The candidate should be board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and have current clinical and/or research expertise in cardio-oncology. Additionally, we are seeking a candidate in cardio-oncology who is an outstanding clinician, and is a nationally recognized or upcoming clinical and academic leader in the field. Applicants must hold MD, MD/PhD, or MD/MPH degree(s) and be qualified for appointment at the Associate or the Professor level.

The successful candidate will be expected to continue the program’s growth in the outpatient and inpatient arenas, accelerate its academic output, and continue to provide world-class service to the cancer patients in the Bay Area and beyond. Faculty recruit will perform duties as an attending physician on the inpatient and consult services and also provide inpatient and outpatient general Cardiology and Cardio-Oncology patient care.
