Description

Faculty Positions | Division of Epilepsy
UCSF Department of Neurology, School of Medicine, and UCSF Health

The Department of Neurology at UCSF is recruiting for faculty positions at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, and full Professor ranks of the Adjunct, HS Clinical, Clinical X, or In Residence faculty series. The selected candidates will be appointed to our Division of Epilepsy.

Qualified candidates must possess a medical degree. Preferred qualifications for further consideration include possession of a valid medical license, board certification or eligibility in neurology, and completion of clinical fellowship training in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology with additional board certification or eligibility in either or both of these fields. Experience in evaluating patients for seizure surgery and with intensive care EEG is strongly preferred.

The Division of Epilepsy is at the beginning of the expansion of our EMU and anticipates considerable growth of our epilepsy surgery volume over the next few years. Thus, the clinical faculty positions will have attending responsibilities at the outpatient Epilepsy Clinics and the inpatient Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) at Parnassus, and may have additional duties at the adult hospital at Mission Bay, the Benioff Children’s Hospitals, and Zuckerberg San Francisco General as needed.

Applicants must apply online at https://aprecruit.ucsf.edu/JPF02744, with a cover letter, CV, statement of contributions to diversity, and the names, titles, and e-mail addresses of three peer references who we may contact directly. Applications received outside the online process cannot be considered.

UCSF seeks candidates whose experience, teaching, research, or community service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and excellence. The University of California is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, or protected veteran status.
