UCSF Fresno Interventional Neurologist Opportunity

The Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery at UCSF are looking expand their neurovascular service line at the Fresno campus. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to perform endovascular procedures. The candidate should be trained as a neurointerventionalist and must be certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. They must also have a California medical license or be eligible to obtain a California medical license at the time of hire. The position includes an academic appointment with the University of California San Francisco commensurate with the applicant’s background and accomplishments.

The candidate will be based at Community Medical Centers, a three hospital system in Fresno, California. Clinical services will be delivered primarily at Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC), the largest hospital in the Central Valley of California. CRMC has two hybrid operating room suites to support open and endovascular procedures. The facility also supports a 20 bed Neuro-Critical Care Unit staffed by four fellowship trained neurointensivists. CRMC is the only Level I designated trauma center in Central California and is a very busy, full-spectrum clinical service that also allows for participation in teaching and clinical research activity in cooperation with the UCSF-Parnassus campus.
