Health Science Assistant/Associate Professor of Surgery
University of California, San Francisco
The Department of Surgery, University of California, San Francisco, is seeking outstanding candidates for a full-time academic surgeon with an exemplary record of patient care. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible. Qualified candidates should have experience in Acute Care/Trauma/Critical Care. Completion of a Trauma/Critical care fellowship is preferred. Applicants who are also interested in research are encouraged to apply. This position will be based at the UCSF-East Bay Surgery program at Oakland’s Highland Hospital, a level I Trauma Center and a member of the Alameda Health System (AHS).
Candidates must have recognized skills in the education of Surgery Residents and Medical Students, and will be expected to be active participants in the department’s residency training and educational programs. An active interest in clinical, outcomes, or basic science research is preferred.
