Associate/Full Professor of Clinical Dermatology and Chief of Service at ZSFG UCSF Department of Dermatology

The Department of Dermatology of the University of California at San Francisco is seeking to appoint new faculty members. The Department of Dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco is conducting a search for an academic medical dermatologist at the Associate or Professor level. The position will serve as the Chief of Service at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG). The opportunity also includes outpatient clinics in which the candidate will be involved with direct teaching of residents and medical students. Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital is the public hospital for the city and county of San Francisco and provides world class care for the people of San Francisco, regardless of ability to pay or immigration status. ZSFG is recognized as the world’s leader in HIV/AIDS care. The Chief of Service at ZSFG will partner with other Department leadership to deliver superlative care to the underserved and diverse residents of San Francisco. Applicants with specific training and academic interest in complex medical and infectious disease dermatology especially HIV are encouraged to apply. Applicants with prior experience in academic settings and an established track record in providing care for underserved communities will be preferentially considered.

Requirements:
The chosen candidate must be board certified in Dermatology with expertise in Medical Dermatology and the care of medically complex patients in a diverse population within a public hospital setting.

Applicants must be board-certified in Dermatology with a solid track-record of management and leadership. We prefer candidates who can demonstrate national recognition of excellence in clinical care and education. The applicant must have recognized skills in the education of Medical Students, Residents and Fellows.

The position will be appointed at the Associate or Professor rank in the HS or Clinical X series.

Candidates are required to hold a MD, or MD/PhD degree, and to have demonstrated achievement in their field.
