General Pediatric Cardiologist: Inpatient, Outpatient and Echocardiography in the HS Clinical or Clinical X Faculty Series

The Division of Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals are recruiting a new faculty member to provide pediatric cardiology inpatient, outpatient and echocardiography imaging support at Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland. The faculty member will attend on the Cardiology inpatient service, Cardiology outpatient clinics and in the echocardiography lab. Appointment will be made at the Assistant or Associate Professor ranks of the Health Sciences (HS) Clinical or Clinical X faculty series.

Required qualifications include a medical degree and license; Board Certification in Pediatrics and subspecialty certification or eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology; including formal clinical training or adequate experience in transthoracic, transesophageal, and fetal echocardiography. Advanced 4th year pediatric fellowship training and/or three years’ practice experience is preferred as is interest and experience in teaching and clinical research.

Distribution (estimate) of clinical duties are:

• Inpatient Service: 2 days per week
• Outpatient Clinics: 2 days per week
• Echocardiography lab : 1/2 day per week
