FULL TIME ASSISTANT ADJUNCT PROFESSOR POSITION

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at University of California, San Francisco is seeking for a molecular and development Biologist whose primary interest is in the development and repair of the skeleton. The incumbent will have already established an active research program. He/she will teach graduate students, and will form collaborations with basic scientists and clinical faculty at UCSF. The incumbent will advise faculty and residents in their research activities, provide lectures to faculty and residents as part of the basic science core curriculum.

The applicant must have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree. The applicant should have at least five years of practical orthopaedic-related research and/or clinical research training background in Orthopaedic research. The applicant should have at least two years of academic Orthopaedic research to demonstrate abilities in teaching and research efforts. The candidate must have demonstrated involvement in quality research on the skeleton through published writings in peer-reviewed journals. This position requires comprehensive expertise in Orthopaedic surgical research and skeletal regeneration and repair.
