Associate Specialist – Rosi Lab

The Department Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Science at University of California, San Francisco is seeking for an Associate Specialist. The candidate will lead an interdisciplinary team investigating neuroimmune mechanisms responsible for cognitive deficits associated with: (1) trauma (2) space radiation and (3) healthy aging. Candidate must have expertise in animal model systems including extensive knowledge of behavioral and cognitive paradigms; have strong written and oral communication skills. Candidate will be required to disseminate findings in both written and oral formats; previous participation in local and national scientific conferences in the radiation, aging and neuroimmune communities is ideal. Candidate must have the PhD, and three (3) plus years of postdoctoral lab experience.

Appointees in the Specialist series will be expected to engage in specialized research, professional activities and do not have teaching responsibilities. Specialists are expected to use their professional expertise to make scientific and scholarly contributions, and may participate in University and Public Service.
