Specialist- Jones Lab

An opportunity of an Assistant or Associate Specialist position in the field of nuclear imaging is available within the Breast Imaging Research Program (BIRP) in the UCSF Radiology Department. The successful candidate will support clinical studies using a multimodality imaging approach to characterize primary breast tumors and build predictive models for prediction of outcomes.

The position requires a MS or PhD degree with training in biomedical engineering, bioengineering, or physics. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling radioactive materials, conducting phantom studies and assessing tumor response through 3D functional quantitative imaging analysis. Knowledge in medical imaging, statistical methods and computational skills in R, Python, C/C++, MatLab, and Unix programming environments is desired. Ability to analyze complex, high-dimensional datasets with the interest in machine learning is a plus. This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must meet the requirements by the time of appointment.
