The Nakano Lab at UCSF is looking for a highly motivated individual contributing to the research projects associated with tooth and bone development. The candidate is expected to work on the experiments associated with molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, and mouse genetics. The candidate will also be expected to help develop new analysis methods, maintain the lab and teach new lab members techniques. The candidate will have the opportunity to present their research at local meetings and earn authorship on publications where they contribute data.
• A bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Genetics or related area at the time of hire.
• Knowledge and research experience with basic molecular biology, cell biology and biochemistry protocols.
• Previous research experience with mouse genetics is preferred but we are open to training.
• Highly motivated to learn new techniques.
