PHYSICIAN – Internal Medicine Position
California- Department of Veterans Affairs Central California Health Care System, Fresno, CA, affiliated with University of California- San Francisco Medical Residency Program, leader in health care quality, is recruiting for a full-time faculty member. This position is in the department of Medicine Service, VA Central California Healthcare System (VACCHCS). Our facility provides patient-centered care, delivered by engaged, collaborative teams in an integrated environment that supports the academic mission, LEAN principals and continuous improvement. We are looking for a hospitalist with outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills who will provide the highest quality veteran-centered care. Candidate must have completed a residency in internal medicine and be eager to participate in a culture of caring for our Veterans during their inpatient stay. We are looking for several positions that will include nocturnist opportunities. Will also consider (but not required) candidates who have interest in ED rotations, procedure clinic, perioperative management and/or fellowship in either pulmonary and/or critical care. The physician must be board certified or board eligible. Our team embodies the blueprint for excellence and is expected to exemplify a strong work ethic, integrity and high quality standards. Interested applicants should be able to demonstrate similar characteristics. Candidate must have a medical degree (MD, DO or equivalent) and must be eligible to obtain a US medical license. Fresno is located 3 hours south of San Francisco and just 2 hours from 3 national parks, including Yosemite, and year-round recreation.
