Assistant or Associate Professor In Residence
The UCSF Department of Pediatrics, Department of Medicine, and the Sandler Basic Research Center invite applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor in the In Residence faculty series. Preferred candidates will have demonstrated expertise in Cell and Molecular Biology broadly relevant to Allergy. The position will be supported in part by the Mary E. and Oscar L. Frick, M.D. Endowed Chair in Allergy.
Eligible candidates will possess an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D., a medical license, Board certification or eligibility in Allergy through Pediatrics or Internal Medicine, and a record of success or significant promise in basic research that is broadly applicable to the field of Allergy. Preferred candidates will have outstanding skills in oral and written communications.
The successful applicant will be eligible for joint appointment in a basic science department and faculty membership in the UCSF Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program. The new faculty member will be expected to establish an independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding, and will have the opportunity to interface with clinical activities and translational-research projects within the fields of allergy and asthma at UCSF.
