Assistant Professor in the Adjunct, Clinical X, or in Residence Faculty Series

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and Benioff Children’s Hospital is seeking an early career investigator to establish an innovative drug discovery research program in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology. Applicants must have a strong background in renal physiology, pharmacology, and have prior research experience in drug target selection, lead optimization, pharmacokinetics and toxicity studies. Applicant must have experience using animal models to discover novel therapeutic candidates for nephrolithiasis, hypertension and rare inherited renal diseases. Applicants must have a track record of peer-reviewed research publications, have demonstrated success obtaining extramural career development awards, and have completed fellowship training in an ACGME-approved pediatric nephrology training program. The successful candidates will be appointed at the Assistant Professor rank and will participate in teaching and mentoring activities for fellows and other trainees in the Division of Nephrology.
