The Cardiology Division at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking to fill a Specialist (Non-Faculty Academic) position. Candidate must hold an MD (or equivalent) and a PhD (or equivalent). Applicants must have at least 2 years training in general cardiology, including echocardiography, electrocardiography, and congestive heart failure. Candidate must have at least 1 year of training in cardiac electrophysiology, including vascular access, standard, and biventricular pacemaker implantation, performing electrophysiology studies, right and left ventricular electroanatomic mapping, subxiphoid epicardial access, and mapping, catheter ablation of supraventricular tachycardia and atrial fibrillation, and catheter ablation of ventricular tachycardia. Candidate must have experience with Epicardial plaque mapping of cardiac arrhythmias, and must be qualified for appointment at the full Specialist level.

The ideal applicant will have a track record of first or senior-authored publications in the field of cardiac electrophysiology, as well as experience handling large animals including vascular access, cut-down, catheter placement, intubation, and recovery. The ideal applicant will also have experience in statistical analysis, and the ability to work collaboratively within a research group.
