Junior Specialist

The Nakano Lab at UCSF is looking for a Junior Specialist contributing to the research projects associated with tooth and bone development. The candidate is expected to work on the experiments associated with molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, and mouse genetics. The candidate will also be expected to help develop new analysis methods, maintain the lab and teach new lab members techniques. The candidate will have the opportunity to present their research at local meetings and earn authorship on publications where they contribute data.

• A bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biology at the time of hire.
• Research experience with basic molecular biology and biochemistry protocols.
• Previous research experience with cell biology and mouse genetics is preferred but we are open to training.
• Highly motivated to learn new techniques.
