Faculty Positions | Movement Disorders and Neuromodulation (PADRECC)
The Division of Movement Disorders and Neuromodulation in the Department of Neurology is recruiting faculty members for appointment to the Assistant, Associate, and full Professor ranks of the Adjunct, HS Clinical, Clinical X, or In Residence faculty series. Qualified candidates must possess a medical degree and license, Board certification or eligibility in Neurology, and will have completed fellowship training in Movement Disorders.
The Division seeks a candidate who will perform a primary clinical role at the Parkinson's Disease Research, Education and Clinical Center (PADRECC) at the San Francisco VA Medical Center (SFVAMC), and possess an interest in serving as the administrative director of the PADRECC after a suitable transition period. This faculty member may also provide patient care one day at week at Mt. Zion Hospital in the outpatient Movement Disorders and Neuromodulation Clinic. Additional faculty may be recruited to perform primary clinical duties at the PADRECC and the SFVAMC, as well as teach UCSF trainees, and participate in other Division and Department faculty activities.
Additional responsibilities will include providing comprehensive care of movement disorder patients including medical and surgical evaluation and management, chemodenervation, and deep brain stimulation (DBS) programming at the UCSF Movement Disorders and Neuromodulation Center. Opportunities to perform and participate in research and other creative activities are also available.
