Hospitalist Clinician-Investigator

The UCSF Division of Hospital Medicine (DHM) is seeking a hospitalist clinician-investigator to join its faculty. The DHM has an outstanding track record of developing successful hospitalist clinician-investigators. Our faculty have diverse and varied interests including effective communication strategies, reducing harm from anticoagulant use, and implementing and evaluating quality improvement interventions, among others. Research faculty have access to a number of unique resources, such as collaborations through the UCSF Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute, as well as an institutional K award program. Candidates must possess an MD degree (or equivalent degree), be board eligible/certified in Internal Medicine, be eligible for licensure in the State of California at the time of hire, and with excellent clinical and communication skills. Candidates who have completed research fellowship training in general internal medicine or health services research are strongly preferred. A track record of publications or presentation of abstracts at national meetings is strongly preferred.
