The Francis I Proctor Foundation at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and the Departments of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and Ophthalmology seek a highly qualified faculty member to support our commitment to advancing epidemiological research. The goal of the Organized Research Unit at Proctor is to perform innovative clinical trials and methodological research in the fields of global eye health and infectious and inflammatory diseases. The faculty member will be expected to play an important role in the Proctor Data Coordinating Center, in addition to performing biostatistical consultations and pursuing their own funded research program. Area of concentration should be within current goals and interests of Proctor, which include: cluster-randomized trials, molecular epidemiology, administrative claims and other big data analyses, infectious disease transmission, and other innovative methodological areas. We anticipate hiring at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor level with faculty step and salary commensurate with the candidate's experience.
REQUIREMENTS: Qualified candidate must hold a PhD degree or equivalent in biostatistics, statistics, biomathematics, or mathematical epidemiology or related field. Demonstrated expertise in research and teaching.
